The terms that apply when you request a complimentary SEO audit from Acorn Technology.
These terms and conditions ("Terms") apply to the complimentary SEO audit service ("Service") offered by Acorn Technology (Pty) Ltd, registration number 2018/070733/07, with its registered address at 16 Wilhelmus Road, Surrey Estate, 7800 ("Acorn", "we", "us") to any person or business who submits a request through the Complimentary SEO Audit request form ("you", "your").
By submitting the request form, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not submit the form.
The complimentary SEO audit is a scan of your publicly available website, reviewed by a member of the Acorn team, resulting in a written report covering the areas described on the Complimentary SEO Audit page (page speed and mobile, titles and descriptions, headings and content, broken links, security/HTTPS, and local search signals), together with an overall score and a Top 5 fixes list.
The audit only examines information that is publicly visible on your website, in the same way a search engine would. We do not request or require access to your website's admin area, hosting account, or any password.
The complimentary audit is provided at no charge and creates no obligation on you to purchase any further service from Acorn, including the Deep-Dive Audit.
Search engine rankings depend on many factors outside our control, including changes made by search engines themselves, actions taken by competitors, and how (or whether) you implement any recommendation. Acorn does not guarantee any particular ranking, traffic increase, or business outcome as a result of the audit or of acting on its recommendations.
We aim to deliver your report within 2 business days of your request, but this is a target, not a guaranteed deadline, and may vary depending on demand or the complexity of your website.
The Deep-Dive Audit is a separate, paid service. Its scope and price depend on your website and requirements and will be quoted to you individually; it is not covered by these Terms and would be subject to a separate agreement before any work begins or any fee is charged.
When you submit the request form we collect your website address, name, business name (if provided), and email address, solely to prepare and deliver your report and to follow up about it. See our Privacy Policy for full detail on how your personal information is collected, used, and protected, in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
Once delivered, the report is yours to keep and use, whether or not you engage Acorn for any further work.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Acorn is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, the complimentary audit report, including any action or decision you make based on it. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded under South African law.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version published on this page at the time you submit your request applies to that request.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.
